Wendy was the first child born to Valerie and James Van Meter on January 11, 1964. She passed away on March 30, 2021. She leaves her beloved mother; her sister Linda Villelli (Tony); brothers Jay Van Meter (Charie) and Vincent Van Meter (Tracy); her beloved daughter Christa Mae Rahmaan; her precious grandchildren Jaden, Jaxson and Janai; her Aunts Karen Gilleland, Jeanie Heller and Sue Bryan; nieces, nephews and many cousins. Her father predeceased her.

Wendy had a heart for suffering people. She cared deeply about the homeless. She was passionate about politics and social justice. She was taking courses to become accredited as a counselor to help people in their struggles against drug addiction and was an all "A" student.

Wendy had a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh. She loved taking her grandchildren for pizza and video games and going to Oceanside Harbor for lunch and finding special greeting cards for friends and family.

Wendy had many loving and supportive friends in her life, especially Cede and Lynn Heller, Kimberly Williams, Bill Weakley and Wanda Rogers. Wendy lavished affection and treats on pups Nikki and Duke and cats Betty, Stew and AJ.

Wendy had an effervescent personality ever since she was a toddler. We will miss Wendy's big beautiful blue eyes and her beautiful smile. Our hearts are broken to lose our sweet Wendy.

Fr. Michael P. Hanifin will preside at the graveside service, to be held April 19 at 11 a.m. at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, 7845 E. Santiago Canyon Road, Orange, Calif . Masks required.

In lieu of flowers, Masses offered for Wendy would be greatly appreciated.
