Our beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother Violet Miguella Freeman Inglett, 86, passed away on November 30, 2015 at UCSD Medical Center. She was born on May 11, 1929 on the Pala Indian Reservation to Race and Juanita Freeman. Violet grew up in Pala with her 7 siblings and graduated from Fallbrook High School. After high school, she joined the United States Army, where she served in the Korean War. She worked for Indian Health Council as an Executive secretary for 30 years. Violet was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved spending time with her family most of all.
Violet is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Pauline Lattimer and son-in-law Dan, Grandchildren Leah Boyd (Mike), Kyah Ka'ahanui (Michael), Michael Inglett, Barbara Felt (Tony), Philip Inglett, Luke Lattimer, Letricia Kenyon (Rick), 23 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandsons, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Violet is predeceased by her parents, Race and Juanita, her 8 siblings, a set of twins, and her son Ricky Inglett.
A Rosary will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2015, at 7 pm, at the Pala Mission. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2015, at 10 am., also at the Pala Mission.. Graveside service and lunch will follow.
