V ern Linton

10/14/1967 - 8/21/2020

Vern passed away on Friday, August 21, 2020 at 52. He was a member of the Pala Band of Mission Indians and resided on the Pala Indian Reservation. He attended Fallbrook High School.

For many years Vern worked as a heavy equipment operator for Pala Tribal Services, US Forestry and Dans Feed & Seed. Vern worked as a loader with Chick Rodriguez Sr and was a rancher at Scott Ranch.

His laid back attitude and sense of humor made him well known throughout the local reservations. He enjoyed life as a proud father and grandfather and valued time with his family & friends. He will be greatly missed.

Vern was preceded in death by his parents Richard & Loretta Linton, his son Richard Norbert Linton, brother Albert Linton, aunt Dorothy Blacktooth and niece Celina Chavez.

He is survived by his son Norbert "Nick" Scott, grandsons Norbert Nicholas Scott II, Koba Richard Scott, sisters Veronica Orozco, Margarita Linton, Pam Chavez, Elaine Linton, Marion Linton, Daria Linton, brothers Thearl Linton, Jeff, John, Fletcher, Dennis, Richard Jr. & Michael. He had many nieces, nephews and cousins
