Obituary

Our loving Patriarch of the family, Father, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather, Thomas Peter Kressin was born into Eternal life on June 12, 2023, at the age of 93.

Thomas was the second child of William and Mildred Kressin. He was born and raised in Minneapolis, (Hennepin) Minnesota.  Where he had fond memories of growing up.

By the age of 16 years old Thomas purchased his own property, which started his love for real estate.  By the age of 22 he enlisted in the Air Force and was a Radar Mechanic.  He served overseas in Okinawa. He was the proud recipient of Korean Service Medal, UN Service Medal, Good Conduct med, and Nat Def Service Medal.  He received an honorable discharge on July 6, 1954 and was very proud of his military service.  He had a deep love for his country.

On July 11, 1959 Thomas married the love of his life Mary Owen Kressin. who has previously gone to her eternal joy on June 19, 2022. Just 1 year after they married, their first child was born, with 5 more to follow in California.  After moving to Southern California, he worked in the Aeronautical industry and in 1969 moved his family to Carlsbad, California and became a successful entrepreneur owning and running his own Liquor store.  In addition, Thomas entered into business with his 2 brothers and they invested in real estate in the Leucadia and Encinitas area.

In 2005, Thomas and Mary moved to beautiful Fallbrook to be closer to some of their children and grandchildren.   He enjoyed his semi-retirement living here in Fallbrook.  Thomas continued to invest in Real Estate and to help many families by providing housing for people to call home.

Thomas was known for his great generosity and charitable works.  He was a great humble man that had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need.  Jesus could be seen in his acts of charity

Thomas is greatly missed and survived by his 6 children and their spouses:  Maggie Devlin (Peter), Peter Kressin, Katie Kressin, Andrew Kressin (Diana), Jim Kressin (Cathy), and Joe Kressin (Angelina); 16 grandchildren:  Maureen (Nick), Ryan, Brendan, Caitlin, Thomas, Lauren, Mathew (Cheyenne), Sarah, Daniel (Tiffany), Jared, AJ, Mary Cate, Skye, Jacob (Henrietta), and Leah (Jared); and 4 great-grandchildren: Audrey, Arden, Lennox, and Liam.

Any donations can be made to Saint Peters the Apostle Parish in Fallbrook where he was a parishioner.
