Thomas Keith
Konkel
Oct 12, 1949 — Jan 23, 2022
Tom Konkel Sr. was a loving man whose greatest passion was his family and making people laugh. He left this world suddenly on January 23, 2022 at the age of 72. Headed out to the Desert in the RV, he ended life much as he chose to spend it – traveling and enjoying time with loved ones. Most of Tom's early years were dedicated to his work and family, raising 4 children. Later he was blessed with 11 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and found a new role as Supporter in Chief helping his grandson Jack successfully fight his battle with cancer. Go Jack Go! Recently having retired, he and his wife, Cindy, moved to Fallbrook to spend more time on the open roads in their RV and to create a place for their family to spend time together at their new property. He found happiness in the simple moments and could often be found cooking huge meals for the family and was always quick to send a silly message making everyone laugh. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Cindy Konkel; his four children; Denise Bouldin, Thomas Konkel Jr., Jamie Espinoza and Jennifer Konig; 11 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild plus more extended family and friends than can be counted. Services will be held at Berry-Bell & Hall Fallbrook Mortuary at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 5 th with a Celebration of Life immediately after at the family home. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
