Shirley Ruth Stringham Parry was born on July 2, 1926 in Bountiful Utah to Ashby Stringham and Zelma Ruth Christensen and passed away on July 20, 2016 at her apartment at the Regency Assisted Living Facility in Fallbrook, California. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Keith Parry of 68 years July 1, 2011 and her brother Warren B. Stringham of Salt Lake City, Utah who passed away April 4, 2016.
She is survived by two brothers William and Jay Stringham, son Richard K. Parry Jr. of La Mesa, California, Kathy Parry Burningham (husband Alvin Burningham) of St. George, Utah and Delynn Heid (husband David Heid) also of Fallbrook, California but currently is serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Ghana, West Africa.
Shirley enjoyed all programs of the LDS Church and attended and later taught in Primary, Young Women, and the Relief Society. Her education included a Certificate of Proficiency as a Nurse's Aide earned in May of 1969.
From her three children she became grandmother to eleven and great-grandmother to 20.
Funeral services will be held at the LDS Chapel in Fallbrook on August 6, 2016 with viewing at 9 am, service at 10 am and internment at 11:30 at the Fallbrook Masonic Cemetery.
