Sandra Lee
Knox
Feb 26, 1941 — Nov 20, 2022
We share the loss of a wonderful Mother, Wife, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. She will be missed for her contagious laugh and joyful spirit. Those who knew her would say that she always had a smile and kind words to uplift your heart. She loved her family with a passion and that was her greatest accomplishment.
Born in Los Angeles, CA to her parents, Florence L. Nord and Dennis Shipman. She was an only child and fiercely independent. She grew up in the Catholic faith, but later became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder Day Saints in Fallbrook, CA. As a young teenager she moved with her Mother and Stepfather to Vista, CA. She graduated from Vista High School in 1958. After high school she moved back to Los Angeles on her own. She worked for the Hoover Electric Company and spoke often of the fun times she had living in LA during the late 50's and early 60's.
She met her husband, Graham Knox originally from Salt Lake City, UT and they were wed on July 12, 1963. They were married for 38 years before he passed in July of 2001 at the age of 65. They raised three children in Fallbrook, CA on acres of undeveloped property where her kids could run free. She cooked the best meals from their homegrown garden. She was an avid sports fan and didn't miss a football, water polo, baseball basketball, or Karate tournament her kids played. She worked in the billing department of Fallbrook Hospital for over 30 years and retired in 2006. She was well known for being one of the best employees that Fallbrook Hospital ever had with her positive attitude and strong work ethics.
She is survived by:
Sons; Scott Knox of Downey, CA and Michael Knox of Fallbrook.
Daughter Julie Knox of Orange County and Daughter in law, Vickie Knox of Fallbrook.
Grandsons; Kevin, Zachary, Sawyer and Logan Knox.
Granddaughter; Abigail Knox (Reilly)
Greatgrandchildren; Karley and Kooper Knox and baby boy Knox due in March 2023.
