With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Sandra (Sandy) Douglas on August 2, 2026. Sandy was preceded in death by Ms. Mary Schubert and Mr. Dale Wagner. Sandy leaves behind her devoted husband, Mark O. Douglas, daughters Lisa (Andy) Steele and Ronna (Jason) Bishop, six grandchildren whom she adored - Joseph, Jalissa, Josiah, Darius, Maliha, and Talitha - and one great grandson, Warren. She is also survived by Ms. Joyce Fusco of El Reno, OK, her brother and sisters Christine (Reinaldo) Davila, of Cary, NC, Ronna Miller, Nancy (Eddie) Weber of Chicora, PA; Kay (Doug) Kent, and Dwight (Linda) Yoder of Johnstown, PA. Also her mother-in-law, Julia F. Douglas; three sisters-in-law Nickie (Napoleon) Johnson, Sonjae Douglas, Iris (Donell) Spanks. Finally, a host of nieces and nephews, and many other family members and friends. Some of the things we will always remember and want others to know about our mother is when it comes to strength and resilience, she is unmatched. She had a tough life growing up but always made the best out of whatever circumstance. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She was their biggest supporter in everything they did. She bought school supplies, backpacks, and shoes every school year. She would start reminding us to have the kids pick out their costumes in September, which we thought was funny, only for it to sneak up on us. And she was always right. She participated in all their fundraisers. Our mother was very intentional when it came to helping others. When there was a need she was the first to help. Whether it was cooking a meal or taking someone shopping; she did it. Gifting shoes to people was something near and dear to her heart. She created so many wonderful experiences and memories for us. We will never forget any of them. Finally, we will always remember her laugh her "squeal". She was our best friend. Sandy truly was a beautiful soul who loved unconditionally; she was a generous and selfless person, and we all love and miss her deeply.
