Obituary

Ryan Andrew Cook was born on August 22, 1984 in Long Beach, CA.  He was the second of two children born to Michael and Laura Cook.  Ryan passed away on Wednesday October 10, 2018 in Knoxville, Tennessee. Ryan was preceded in death by his grandfathers Gerald Cook and Henry Landeros, his grandmother Noma Landeros and many aunts and uncles. He is survived by his parents Michael and Laura Cook, his sister Christalle Hart, his brother in law Russell Hart, nephews Andrew and Payton Hart, niece Miranda Hart and his grandmother Phyllis Cook.  He is also survived by many aunts' uncles, cousins and friends.  Ryan graduated from the Hemet Unified School District in 2002 and from California Baptist University in 2008.  After graduation, Ryan enlisted in the United States Army and was commissioned a Lieutenant.  Ryan faithfully served his country from 2009 through 2013.  During his service in the Army, Ryan received a formal commendation for his tactical leadership as platoon leader. After his honorable discharge from the Army, Ryan received a full ride scholarship to the University of Tennessee College of Law. At the time of his passing Ryan was a second-year law student and legal research assistant at the University of Tennessee College of Law.
