Our beloved Russell Breckenridge was born on December 3, 1957 in Chicago, Illinois to James Tillman Breckenridge Sr. and Roberta Inez Breckenridge who both preceded him in death. He was the third of seven siblings. While in high school, Russ was a talented basketball and baseball player. He was also an avid track athlete who received numerous medals.
In 1980, Russ married his college sweetheart, Terry, and to this union they were blessed with two outstanding sons; Joshua Russell Breckenridge and Tyler Braxton Breckenridge. In March of 1982, Russ joined the Marine Corps where he served as a proud Marine for 8 years and was honorably discharged as Sgt. Breckenridge. Semper Fi (always faithful) was his motto not only as a Marine, but also as a husband, father, friend and family member.
Russ, was a brilliant and creative man who had alove for the world of science and engineering and thus, worked much of his life in that area. With his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering he served as a Production Manager for Ferro Corporation for over 29 years. As a result, he traveled parts of the world creating and improving electronic items we use today.
Russ was a kind and honest man who lived a dedicated and vibrant life as a son, brother,husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He is survived by his wife Terry, eldest son Joshua, youngest son Tyler (Kendra), and his grandchildren Jersey, Jackson, Audrey, and Dominic. He also leaves behind his stepmother Joyce, his brothers James Jr. (Earlette) and Romell (Dana) and his sisters, Alma, Debra, Patty, and Tani (Gerald) as well as his nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
