Ronald "Ron" Totin

February 8, 1945 – August 29, 2024

Ronald "Ron" Totin, devoted husband and father, passed away on August 29th, 2024, at the age of 79. Ron was born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, on February 8th, 1945, to Kathleen Swaka and Francis Totin. After the early passing of his mother and his brother Doug's enlistment in the Navy, Ron traveled the world with his father, "Butch," thus sparking his passion for travel that lasted until the final days of his life.

After relocating to California, Ron began his career in the meat industry. Starting out as a butcher, he continued to pave his way through various companies, such as Boys Market and Zacky, ultimately serving as President of Randall Farms, his final and longest-held position. Ron held many titles throughout his lifetime, but by far his proudest role was that of husband and father. He spoke fondly at every opportunity of his loving wife of 38 years, Erica Totin, and his seven beautiful children: Todd, Treena, Tamara, Stephanie, Kimberly, Michael, and Katie—all born to his wife Erica and his previous wives, Sandy and Linda.

Ron enjoyed watching the various sporting events and academic achievements of his 17 grandchildren, and he loved boasting about being a great-grandpa to five additional little ones. He was an avid golfer, Tom Clancy enthusiast, history buff, and a friend to many. To know him was to love him, and in true Ron fashion, I conclude this with: "Say goodbye, Love Dad."
