Obituary

MSgt Robert S Laszko (USMC Ret.) of Fallbrook, CA, passed away in his sleep on July 16th 2017.

Bob was an accomplished HAM Radio operator (WA6PFP) and was instrumental in building the Military Auxiliary Radio System (MARS) radio stations on Camp Pendleton, CA and Okinawa Japan. Robert spent time as a Senior Drill Instructor at the Marine Corp Recruit Depot in San Diego, CA and the Officers Candidate School in Quantico, VA. He served two tours in Vietnam.

Upon his retirement from the Marine Corps, Robert and his wife Jeanne opened and operated the Village Camera Shop in Fallbrook.

He is survived by Jeanne, his wife of 60 years, sons Bob, James and daughter Deborah, sister Christine Wallace, three nephews, three nieces, seventeen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
