We are deeply grieved by the passing of Bob Boehm on the 17th of February, 2016 at the age of 64. Bob was an amazing husband to Mary Kay for almost 39 years, an incredible dad to Kevin (34), Kate (31), and Kyle (28), and a beloved father-in-law to Misha (32). Bob loved God and his family, both immediate and extended, above all else, and was fortunate to have five very close-knit siblings: Judy, Linda, Shirley, Ron, and Tina. His mother, Juanita, passed away one month earlier on January 17, 2016; Bob's dad, Robert, passed 13 years earlier.
Bob's passions included baseball, in which he excelled as both a player (in two men's senior leagues) and a fan (of the San Francisco GIANTS!!!). He also loved golf, playing at least twice weekly with his great guy friends and many early-evening outings of 4-5 holes with Mary Kay. Bob was an excellent bridge player and spent many wonderful Thursday afternoons playing duplicate bridge with his Pauma Valley Country Club friends. Bob also enjoyed hiking, fishing the creeks of the Bishop-area mountains with Mary Kay, and bow-hunting for boar with his buddy Brad.
Bob lived life to the fullest each day and was a true role model for keeping fit and active. He walked daily, biked, and exercised his mind along with his body with Sudoku, online chess, reading, and bridge. Bob's passing leaves us all, his family and many friends, stunned: we were not ready for him to be called to heaven. He was well loved by so many, touched countless lives, and was a genuinely good man.
We will miss you every minute of every day, Bob!
A funeral mass will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, 25th February, 2016 at St. Bartholomew's Chapel, 2 Mazzetti Lane, Valley Center, CA 92082.
I lieu of flowers, the family requests that any remembrances be made to the Pauma Schools Foundation, where Bob loved volunteering in after-school recreation.
