Mary Ann Orcutt, age 78 years passed away Sunday morning, Jan 3rd, at Scripps Greene Hospital in La Jolla, Ca. Born March 28,1942 in Oakland CA and coming to Glendale, Los Angeles as a young girl.

She was an artistic soul who had exquisite taste- she loved beauty and created it wherever she lived. Like many single mothers she reinvented her life every several years.

At one time she was a top selling real estate sales person, a successful manager of Robinsons Glendale Hair Salon. She was one of the first women in the 60's -in Los Angeles- to get a mortgage on a home. She created her own high end line of jewelry and jewelry design business - Special Effects, which was handcrafted from ceramic and semi precious stones. Later in life, she had an upscale specialty boutique with many items from Italy and well known fashion designers.

Mary Ann was a joy to anyone who knew her. She was generous and kind, a loyal, soft spoken friend and mother. She will be missed by many.

Married to James Jerome Orcutt in 1960, he preceded in death in 2008. Survived by sister Betty Bitler, daughters Misty Orcutt , Monique Orcutt, nieces Lisa Kolendich and Judy McNeil.
