Obituary

It is with great sorrow that the Driver family announces the passing of Marion Mooney Driver.

Mom suffered from severe rheumatoid arthritis for over 30 years and fought heart disease valiantly for the last several years of her life, but left us peacefully early on December 28, 2015.
She was an astounding person (some might describe her as a force of nature) and a great champion of her family and friends. She was married to Don Alan Driver for 52 years and, as Dad often says, they only had one fight the whole time. It just lasted 52 years.
Mom was a musician who filled our home with a love of music, a trait she passed on to her
three children and her three grandchildren. She also gave us a deep and abiding faith in God
and respect for all His people as a way to demonstrate that love. Mom was passionate about politics, always ready to good-naturedly debate anyone with a different opinion on an issue or candidate (especially at Thanksgiving as her eldest nephew Stephen can confirm).
Mainly she was funny, with a razor-quick wit and intellect and a love of life unmatched by
anyone we have ever known. The world has lost a good one and we are so glad her suffering has
ended but MORE that she has touched this world and made the impact she did on those she left behind. Mom did not have an easy journey, but she filled her time with us with joy, love, music, humor and grace.

"Well done, good and faithful servant!" Matthew 25:23

Marion Driver is survived by her husband Don A. Driver and three children, Don Driver Jr., David Driver and Tracy Driver McCarthy. She also leaves behind daughters-in-law Lynette Ditto Driver and Suzanne Driver and son-in-law Kelly McCarthy, and grandchildren Jessica Driver, Jordan Driver and David McCarthy. She is also survived by her sister Sharon Mooney McClure, brother-in-law Robert McClure, sister-in-law Elayne Driver Peru,
brother-in-law Paul Peru, mother-in-law Ila Fern Callaway Driver and four nephews (Stephen, Kevin, John and Chris McClure) and one niece (Jennifer McClure Gaudi).
