Maria Milagros "Vida" Flores Bonite, age 64, died last Tuesday July 24, 2018 at 4:20 p.m at Tri-City Medical Center.
Born in Quezon City Philippines on November 20, 1953. In her early years, she worked as an Executive assistant to an ambassador in Foreign Affairs and later worked in the Real Estate industry. In 1998, she migrated to the U.S. along with her surviving children Sheryll Bonite and Jay Bonite. She worked as an administrative assistant in the San Diego Unified School District until she had a major stroke in 2010.
In her years living in the nursing home, she loved to do Word Search books, play bingo and watch various tv shows such as Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, Dancing with the Stars, Lifetime Channel, HGTV and TFC (Filipino shows).
She was 'a mentor, a friend and an "Ate"' (pronounced as a-teh), recalled by an old friend. Even with her lack of physical ability, she still managed to care for others in her own ways, guiding and mentoring them. She's the kind that pushes you to be better because she can see that you could.
She loved her family more than anything - her brothers Elmer, Willie and Pete and her only sister Divina. Most especially her daughter Sheryll and her son Jay, her daughter-in-law Adrian and her two beautiful grandchildren Mia and Azriel. She always talked about her family with everyone and how proud she is of her kids.
Please join us celebrating her life this Saturday August 4, 2018, between 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. at Berry-Bell & Hall Mortuary, 333 N Vine St, Fallbrook, CA 92028.
