Luevano
Jul 6, 1943 — Oct 9, 2025
Lupe Luevano, 81, of Fallbrook, California, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2025.
Lupe was born on July 6, 1943, in Guadalajara, Mexico, to Heraclio and Elisa Olmos. She grew up in Pauma Valley, where her father managed a large orange grove, and attended school in the Fallbrook area through ninth grade. The family later moved to La Habra, where Lupe graduated from La Habra High School.
She built a long and successful career at Equifax and ChoicePoint, retiring after 18 years as Supervisor of Credit Checking and Background Validations.
On July 11, 1964, Lupe married the love of her life, Fred Luevano. Together they shared 61 wonderful years of marriage, raising two sons, Michael and James, and creating countless cherished memories. Lupe and Fred loved to travel, especially to Maui, where they celebrated nearly every wedding anniversary.
Family was the heart of Lupe's world. She found great joy in bringing loved ones together, hosting family gatherings, and preparing delicious meals to share. Her warmth, kindness, and devotion to family will always be remembered. Lupe had a special way of making everyone feel welcome and at home.
She enjoyed an active and fulfilling life—spending time with dear friends, playing Mah Jong, practicing Tai Chi, and chatting with neighbors during her daily two-mile walks. She especially loved hiking, being in nature, and appreciating all forms of wildlife.
Lupe is survived by her beloved husband, Fred; her sons, Michael and James; her grandchildren, Trevor, Henry, and Katherine; and her sisters, Teresa, Anita, and Laura. She was preceded in death by her parents, Heraclio and Elisa Olmos.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 22, from 4:00–8:00 PM at Berry-Bell & Hall Mortuary in Fallbrook. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Peter's Church on Thursday, October 23, at 11:00 AM, followed by a reception. A private family burial will be held on Friday, October 24, at Loma Vista Cemetery in Fullerton.
