Leroy H Miranda Jr a member of the Pala Band of Mission Indians. He recited on Pala Indian reservation . He attended the Pala mission school then to Fallbrook high school and later transfering to Sherman Indian high school where he graduated in the year of 1986. Then continuing his education at Palomar College there he was elected to serve on the student board. After college he went to work for his tribe as Security officer. He served as Ambassador for Native Americans, 1999-2005 as a Director of Cupa Culture Center, in 2000 he was elected to be Vice- Chairman of the tribe and though out his rigne he served on numerous committees and boards

Leroy H Miranda, Jr retired in 2012 as Vice-Chairman of the Pala Band of Mission Indians. He is survived by his wife,of 37 years Derinda K McKewan-Miranda Daughter: Heather V Miranda, ( Deceased Moyla M Miranda ), Cherie Gonzalez, Monica L Gonzalez, Sons:Tyrone McKewan, Jose Gonzalez, Mother Donna Dominguez, Brother Richard Lavato, Sisters Darline Vega, ( Deceased Germaine M Miranda ) and his God Daughter: Lully Perez
