Larry Noel was born to Amos and Virginia Noel, on February 16, 1953, in Chicago, II. Upon graduation he entered the United States Navy, where he served 24 years. When Larry retired from the US Navy, he took up residency in San Diego, CA. Larry has three children born from his marriages with Patricia and Diana; Larry Noel Jr., Brian Noel, and Angela Marie Noel. Larry loved his children dearly. He was especially fond of his only daughter Angela; "Kid" was what he affectingly referred to her. Larry met and later married Cathy Halton and embraced her children Billy Moreland, III, Shuree Halton, and Darren Halton.


Larry work for the Department of Defense for more than 20 years. He retired from Federal Service at Camp Pendleton in 2012 where he worked as a 911 Dispatcher for the Fire Department. After retirement Larry went on to work for Great Call briefly before his death. Larry was a loyal and dedicated worker and enjoyed working as a Dispatcher.

Larry had a very strong sense of family, and he would visit his sisters whenever the opportunity arose. Larry was devastated at the loss of his brother, Andre Noel in 2010. Larry lived his life on his terms, he loved his sports (Chicago Bulls)(Chicago Bears); home cooked meal of 'his choice", and time for his recreational gambling and golf. He was basically an easy going guy, who most that came in contact with him, genuinely liked him. On Saturday, April 27, 2013, Larry was called home.

Larry leaves behind his wife Cathy Noel, children: Angela Noel of Atlanta GA, Larry Noel Jr. of Dallas Texas, Brian Noel of San Diego CA. and his Sisters Ramona Noel; Danette Blocker; Marilyn Noel of Chicago Il. Blended family Enid Craig, Billy Moreland III, Shuree O'Reilly, Brian O'reilly and Darren Halton of San Diego CA.; Grandchildren: Kayden Halton, Brianna Halton; Darren Halton Jr. Billy Moreland IV. Elijah O'Reilly, Michael Craig, Anthony Craig, Larry Noel III, Tyler Noel, Octavia Noel and a host of Nieces and Nephews. Larry will be greatly missed by all who have come to know and love him.
