Kathleen Marie
Gonsalves
Apr 29, 1950 — Nov 27, 2019
Kathleen Marie Gonsalves suddenly passed away November 27, 2019, at her home in Hemet, California.
"Kathy," daughter, sister, aunt, and cousin, was born in Artesia, California on April 29, 1950, to excited
parents Edward and Esther Gonsalves.
As the only daughter to the two loving parents, Kathy, grew up and worked in the family business, Ed's
Dairy, in Huntington Beach, California.
Kathy was an extremely busy and outgoing woman. She was always on-the-go. Being in such close
proximity to both the beach and mountains, Kathy quickly learned to surf and both snow and water ski at
an early age. As a teen, Kathy traveled to New York City to pursue a modeling career and appeared in
Vogue Magazine. Kathy worked as a flight attendant and later learned to fly planes, receiving a pilots
license. She traveled the seven seas with Princess Cruises, holding positions as an Activities Director and
a ship Purser. Finally settling down, Kathy returned to college to earn a degree as a Registered Nurse.
She turned her attention and intelligence to caring for the public as a Registered Nurse for many years
until her subsequent retirement.
Kathy will always be remembered for her zest for life, loving her family deeply and having strong faith in
God. At holidays and family meals, Kathy frequently brought the family together in her unique way of
calling for grace.
The last years of Kathy's life were spent loving and caring for her mother, Esther. The remaining family is
forever thankful for the time she was able to spend with and comfort their ailing matriarch.
Kathy is survived by: her older brother, Edward Gonsalves (Pamela); younger brothers Ronald (Kathy)
and Lawrence (Carolyn) Gonsalves; nephews and niece, Marco Bender, Edward, Ryan, Ronald, Joseph
and Jennifer Gonsalves; and great nieces and nephews, Jessica, Derek, Samantha, William, Nina, Mia,
Dallas and Reed.
Kathleen Marie Gonsalves is deeply loved and forever missed.
