Katherine Aidria Sichi, lovingly known to so many as Kathy or Mama Sichi, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2026, in Fallbrook, California, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 18, 1960 to Lucy Stangeland and Michael Maggio in Santa Monica, California. Kathy lived a life defined by unwavering faith, boundless kindness, and unconditional love.

Kathy was the devoted wife and best friend of Mitch Sichi. Together they built a beautiful life after marrying in 1979. They began their journey together in Big Bear, California, in 1979, where they raised their growing family before moving to Fallbrook in 1996, a community they’ve proudly called home since.

Above all else, Kathy’s greatest joy was her family. She was a loving mother to five children and a cherished Nonna to seven grandchildren, each of whom brought immeasurable happiness to her life. She had a remarkable gift for making everyone around her feel loved, welcomed, and important. Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and togetherness.

A devoted Catholic, Kathy’s faith guided every aspect of her life. She lived with grace, humility, compassion, and generosity, quietly serving others and leading by example. Her gentle spirit, calming presence, and steadfast belief in God’s love touched countless lives.

Kathy was truly one of the most beautiful people, both inside and out. She possessed a rare kindness that made lasting impressions on everyone she met. A loyal friend to many, she formed deep and meaningful relationships throughout her life. Whether offering a listening ear, a comforting embrace, or words of encouragement, she had a way of making others feel seen and cared for.

Kathy is survived by her beloved husband of 47 years, Mitch Sichi; her loving children, Gina, Shauna, Matthew, Nicole, and Joseph; and her seven adored grandchildren. She also leaves behind many extended family members and countless dear friends whose lives were forever enriched by her love and friendship.

Her legacy is one of love, faith, strength, and selflessness. She leaves behind a family who adored her, friends who treasured her, and a community made better by her presence. Though her absence leaves an immeasurable void, her example will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Kathy will be dearly missed and forever remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, proud Nonna, faithful servant of God, treasured friend, and a beautiful soul whose love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
