Josephine Daugherty, 91 was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Temecula Valley Hospital.

She was born in Millrun, Pennsylvania on July 18, 1931 to Virgil and Violet Marie Shawley as their only child. Josephine married Raymond Theodore (Ted) Daugherty in 1947, and remained married until his death In 1989.

After many moves with the military they chose Fallbrook as their final move in 1963.  It was here   Josephine became employed as a cafeteria cook for Maie Ellis Elementary School for 17 years.  Her passion was serving the Lord, being a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and gardening.

Josephine was preceded in death by her father, Virgil Shawley, mother, Violet Marie Staup, husband,  Raymond Theodore (Ted) Daugherty, and oldest daughter, Kathleen Froedge.  She is survived by her two daughters; Coleen Kirkland and Noreen Doan, along with her son-in-law Timothy Kirkland.    Her three grandchildren; Scott Froedge of Oklahoma, Autumn Miller and her husband Mike of Texas, and Kristin Francisco of Vista, CA. Her grandchildren Kaitlyn Wall, Haylee, Zohee, and Joseph Miller, Riley and Cayden Gonzalez, Luca Francisco, and great-great grandson, Deklan Matthews.
