John F. Eifling was born in Blythe, Ca July 24, 1952 and passed peacefully November 29, 2014 at his home in Fallbrook, Ca, after a brief battle with lung cancer.

John retired from the City of San Diego. At the peak of his career he was the Superintendent of the City's Pt. Loma Wastewater Treatment facility. He thoroughly enjoyed retirement and said he had finally found something he was good at. In 2002, John and his wife Patrice moved to Fallbrook and both have enjoyed their life here.

John was preceded in death by his sister Frances, and brothers, Dale and David. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Patrice, his favorite niece Dawn Delaney, his other favorite niece, Brooke Eifling and his nephews, Robert Schroeder and Neal Eifling.

Memorial service will be held, December 13th at noon at the Berry-Bell & Hall Fallbrook Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to an animal sanctuary or charitable organization of your choice.
