Joan Elaine Kabo, age 83, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 26, 2020 while surrounded with a room full of loved ones. Joan was born on February 1, 1936 to Joseph and Hazel Grundy. She grew up in the Bronx, New York and raised her children in Freehold, New Jersey. Joan then moved to Manhattan, New York and then later to Fallbrook, California in 2002 to be closer to her family and granddaughters. Joan's strong work ethic carried on throughout her life. She spent her professional career as a bookkeeper and continued to enjoy being active with her family and working into retirement.

Joan is survived by her sister, Marilyn Schaefer, two daughters; Denise Eells and Marina Hedden, son-in-law's; Dennis Eells and Craig Hedden, two granddaughters; Danielle and Delaney Eells, and her loving nieces and nephews. Joan will always be remembered for her zest for life, spicy and fun personality, and her deep love for family and friends.
