JEWELL DEAN STEVENSON
MAY 23, 1929 – JULY 31, 2020
Jewell was born in Black Forke, Arkansas to Roy and Rachel James.
She had 2 sisters, Rebecca and Macel.
On January 21, 1944 she married Eli Wallace and they lived in
Sunland for 34 years.
Jewell was very active in the Republican Womens Club where she
served as president. She attended Open Bible Church and served
faithfully as a Sunday school teacher and as a deaconess in the
church. She loved the Lord with all her heart.
On May 27, 1982 she married Jim Stevenson and lived in San
Demas. During her stay in San Demas she was very active in the
Covina Womens Club where she served as president to serve her
community. During her reign as president, she was also named
woman of the year with Covina Womens Club.
She was also very active in the garden club. She loved gardening
and growing flowers. It was a special hobby of hers.
She leaves behind 3 children, Coleen Mattern, Dianne Lady & Roger
Wallace, along with 6 grandchildren, Jewellee Jones, Todd Ricker,
Tanya Wilke, Tim Ricker, Adam Wallace & Ryan Wallace. In
addition, 7 great grand children, Katie Jones, Megan Wilkie, Allison
Jones, Juliann Ricker, Alexa Goldman, Kyle Ricker and Scotlynn Jo
Wallace.
