Jeanette Pettersen passed away peacefully on July 26, 2026, in Fallbrook, California. Jeanette was born on February 27, 1941, to George and Louise Schwab in San Francisco. She had one sister, Pamela Sawaya. She lived many beautiful years in San Carlos, Tahoe City, Belmont and Fallbrook. Jeanette deeply loved her family, her friends and her dog Frankie, and was loved in return by many beautiful people, from far and near. She always enjoyed the outdoors, including picnics and sipping wine on her back porch with her neighbors. Playing dominoes, Bridge, Bunco and 7’s consumed many of Jeanette’s leisure hours, a passion that she has shared with her children and grandchildren. Jeanette was most proud of her lovely daughters, Kathy (Earle) and Laurie (Mamola), and the beautiful lives they’ve built. Her children are forever grateful as Jeanette instilled in them a passion for music, animals and nature. She adored her grandchildren, Christina, Juliana, Margaret, Annalisa, Rebekah, Nicholas, Andrew, Mikaela, Olivia, James and Jess. Jeanette was also “Nana” to her great-grandchildren, Ciaran, Indiana, Rewa, Eva, Juliette, Levi, Yeden, Eliza and Jigme. Her nieces, Karen and Kimberly, and their children were also very dear to her, and her collection of overflowing photo albums proves it! It’s very difficult to comprehend that this beautiful life has ended. Our memories will remain with us always and Jeanette will forever be known as a lovely woman with a gorgeous smile. Rest in peace and joy, Mom! A celebration of Jeanette’s life will be held on August 24, 2026, at 4:30 in the afternoon, at the Rancho Monserate Clubhouse, in Fallbrook, CA. A picnic to remember Jeanette’s beautiful life will be held September 26, 2026, in Sacramento, for her Northern California family and friends.
