A beautiful soul was called home Tuesday February 7, 2023. Jason Rutledge Walker was born on June 1, 1975 to Gary Rutledge and Gloria Gestand. Jason was the first of two born to this union.

Jason attended North Broadway and Orange Glen Elementary Schools in Escondido, CA. After the divorce of his parents, Jason, his mother, and youngest sister moved to Wilmington, CA. There he attended Holy Family Elementary School and went on to attend Mary Star of The Sea High for two years. He graduated from Banning High School in 1993. He attended Hampton University for one year.

Jason was an avid baseball and basketball player. He played on the farm league for Cincinnati Reds and Oakland A's for a few years. He could be found playing a pick up game or league basketball with his closest friend Tayrance Allen. In 2005, Jason was blessed with his twin daughters Jayla and Bhree. Three years later he welcomed his youngest daughter Grace. Jason was a very loving father and would boast about all of his daughter's accomplishments.

Jason is survived by his father Gary and wife Dorothy Rutledge, his mother Gloria and husband Willie Walker Jr. He leaves three sisters Patricia, Michelle, and Terry; one brother Michael. He leaves his daughters Jayla, Bhree, and Grace. He leaves three nieces Rachel, Sarai, and Maddie; three nephews Malachi, Micah, and Aaron. And a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and his estranged wife Laura Fassnacht.

A Private Bural will take place at Fallbrook Masonic Cemetery in Fallbrook, CA.
