Ignacio Torres Barajas passed away on July 18, 2018 a day after his 87th birthday. He was born in El Conejo near Cotija, Michoacan. Ignacio immigrated to the United States as a permanent resident in 1962 and became a US citizen in 1999. Ignacio was proud of his Mexican roots and grateful to be an American citizen.
Ignacio married Rosa Martha in 1960 in Cotija and had 5 children. He is survived by his two sons, Alvaro and Ignacio, and three daughters, Angelica, Lilia and Irma, and multiple grandchildren.
Ignacio was a resident of Fallbrook for over 56 years and spent his life working as a grove manager taking care of hundreds of acres of avocado and citrus trees. He loved being outdoors and took great pride in his job.
Ignacio had many friends and loved to spend his weekends singing with them. He also loved to tease his family and friends and gave silly and funny nick names to many.
Ignacio was loved and will be missed by family and friends in the US and Mexico.
