Obituary

Henry 'Hank' Olbrych died on January 9, 2016 at his home in Fallbrook, CA. Hank was 94 years old.

Born in 1921 in Chicopee Mass, Hank was a son of an Austrian immigrants. In 1940 he enlisted in the US Navy to pursue his dream of becoming a pilot. He went to aviator school in Pensacola Florida and achieved his dream in 1947. Hank went on to serve his country and retired from the US Navy in 1970. He was awarded the Silver Star, Air Medal, and Gold Star to name a few.

After retiring from the Navy, Hank then went to work for the FAA in Albuquerque, NM developing air traffic lanes for commercial airlines.
When Hank and his wife decided to take life easy, they moved to Fallbrook CA. Hank was an avid golfer, and enjoyed college basketball and football. He enjoyed being outside working on his yard and chatting with friends at the "19th" hole.

He will be so missed by his step-daughter Cheryl Taylor and her husband Chris, and his grandchildren Shannon and Andrew Moore.
In honor of the way Hank lived his life in later years and cherished being self-reliant, in lieu of flowers the family asks that you donate to your local organizations that assist seniors in living independently for as long as possible.
