Helen Sumner passed away on Sunday May 9, 2021 at 90 years of age. She was born Feb. 25,1931 in Richmond, Virginia to Oscar and Addie Saunders and was the youngest of seven  siblings. She married Philip D. 'Mike' Sumner Jr. on June 7, 1952 and together they had three children - Philip D. Sumner III, Mary Sumner and Cindy Sumner (Varela).  She and her husband were devout members of St. John's Episcopal Church and  active members for many years in the Fallbrook Lions Club.
