Obituary

Harry Ervin Teasdall passed away peacefully in his Fallbrook home of 55 years on May 15, one day short of his 95th birthday.

He is survived by his wife Lucille; a daughter, Cheryl and her husband Ernie Maulson of Temecula, Calif.; a son, William and his wife Debra of Murrieta, Calif. Other survivors include three grandchildren, Lynn Hall, David Hall, and Steven Hall, along with a great-grandson Devin Hall. He is also survived by a sister Billie Chamberlain and her children Jill and Bill.

Harry was predeceased by his parents Harry Oliver and Ida Ervin Teasdall; his sister Ione, and in 2009 by his son Thomas.

Harry was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on May 16, 1918. His family moved to Long Beach, Calif. in 1936. He graduated from Long Beach Wilson High in 1937.

Harry and his wife Lucille were married on May 16, 1943. He was in the Navy during WWII. From 1946-1955, he worked for Pioneer Flintcoat, North American and Hughes Aircraft. He became an attorney by passing the bar in 1955 having never gone to law school. Harry and Lucille moved to Fallbrook, Calif. in 1958 where he practiced law in a one man law office until he retired in 2011.

He had a great love for his wife and family. He also loved the Big Band Era of music. His favorite group was the Dick Jurgens Band. Hockey was also a passion, especially the Detroit Red Wings or any of the Canadian Teams. He was very fond of all animals, especially dogs.

He was a man of great integrity and had a great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A special thanks to the Elizabeth Hospice of Escondido and The Affordable Quality Health Care Givers for the love and care they gave to Harry during the final months of his life.

A memorial will be at 2 p.m. on June 20, at the East Ridge Clubhouse, 1140 Crescent Bend Place, Fallbrook.

In lieu of flowers the family request a donation in Harry's name to the Escondido Humane Society. Donation forms can be located online.
