Obituary

Fred Villarreal, beloved son of Jose C. and Maria Luz Villarreal, passed away on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2020.  He is survived by his daughter's Adriana Villarreal and Sonia Cerda.  He is also survived by his brother Robert Villarreal of Fallbrook (and his nephew Beto Villarreal), his brother Ray Villarreal (Paola), nephew Andrew (Liz), and niece Jennifer Villarreal, brother-in-law Thomas and sister M.E. (McLean) Hines of Vista

Fred's academic achievements included graduations from Potter Jr. High, Fallbrook Union High School, San Francisco State University, and an earned Master's Degree from San Diego State University.

His career achievements included successful careers as a social worker, adoptions case worker, and he retired from law enforcement as a parole officer/administrator.  He volunteered in numerous community and "missionary-like" projects that supported, motivated, and inspired by youth and others in need.

Fred is remembered for his generosity, courage, sensitivity, and corny sense of humor.  We doubt that anyone appreciated "Seinfeld's "characters more than he did.

Fred was loving, responsible, and dedicated son and father.  One of his neighbors described him as "sweet man", and another neighbor named her toy after him.  He was a "good boy", and easy person to love, and an even easier person to remember.

Because of the C-19 pandemic, a private family ceremony honoring him is planned.  In lieu of flowers, please send a voluntary donation to Rady Children's Hospital, 3020 Children's Way, San  Diego, CA 92120.  Fred loved children and his niece, Maliza, who he gave wonderful care prior to her passing.
