Gloria Joy Lewis, 84, of Fallbrook, CA passed away March 21, 2014. She was born March 10, 1930 in Glendale, California to Elaine and Bernhardt Scheinert.

She attended a two year secretarial college and went on to put these skills to work as a secretary for the LDS Institute of Religion at California State University, Fullerton. Gloria also owned a small business, worked as a relator, and was a homemaker.

Gloria enjoyed spending her time reading, playing tennis, traveling, and singing soprano in the Southern California Mormon Tabernacle Choir as well as community choirs.

She is survived by her daughters, Leslie Branson and Lori (Russell) McKissick of Fallbrook, CA; grandsons, Buck, Matt, and Cort Branson of Fallbrook, CA and Ross and Dane (presently serving a church mission in Hungary) McKissick of Provo, UT; granddaughters, Brittany (nee Branson) Martin and Christine and Haley McKissick of Fallbrook, CA; great granddaughters, Lily Joy and Brynn Violet Martin of Fallbrook, CA. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ross; sisters, Elaine Morris and Marilyn Feldman; and parents, Elaine and Bernhardt Scheinert.

A funeral service will be on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 621 S. Stage Coach Lane, Fallbrook, CA 92028. Gloria will be buried with her husband, Ross, at the Riverside National Cemetery on Monday, March 31, 2014 at 11:01 a.m.
