Francisco "Frank" Rodriguez, 82, of Fallbrook, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday,
October 18, 2012.
Frank was born June 6, 1931 in La Feria, Texas. Prior to settling in San Diego County in 1960,
he was a migrant worker and worked as a cotton picker, among several other jobs to help
support his family. After he settled in San Diego, he worked as a pipe welder for NASSCO for 32
years, and retired in 1993. He also had his own carpet cleaning business and was a self-taught
handyman and mechanic. Frank had a love for classic cars, and his favorite hobby was building
model cars from scratch, as well as metal fabrications.
Frank was preceded in death by his beloved wife; Margarita Rodriguez; his parents Genoveva
and Pedro Rodriguez; and his siblings Gloria Ensinia, Jesus Rodriguez, and Margarito
Rodriguez. He is survived by his children Delia Rodriguez, Frank Rodriguez, Jr., Mary
Rodriguez, and her husband Jose, and Sarita Loya; his siblings Anita Garcia, Margaret
Gonzales, Raymone Rodriguez, and Amelia Hopgood; plus eight grandchildren, one greatgrandchild;
as well as other relatives.
A Viewing will be held at Berry-Bell & Hall Fallbrook Mortuary on Monday, October 22, from 5-8
p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 23, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peters Catholic
Church.
