Obituary

Ethel Louise Anderson passed away peacefully on December 20th, 2023, with loved ones around her. She was the devoted wife of Thomas R. Anderson and excellent mother to Linda, Thomas, Richard, Dale, and Charlene. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Ethel was born to Fern and Charles Woodring in Wichita, Kansas, on July 10, 1934. The family moved to the Los Angeles area soon afterwards and settled in Sunland, California.

Ethel attended Verdugo Hills High School, where she met Thomas Anderson. They married in 1951.

In 1956, Tom entered the L.A. Fire Department, and the family moved to Sylmar, California.  Here they raised five children together. In the early '70s, the family moved to Fallbrook, California.

Ethel was very active in her church and fulfilled a Mormon mission in 1991-1992 with her husband, Tom. After he passed away, she moved to St. George, Utah, where much of the family lived. There she abided happily and independently for many years. Her last residence was in the home of her granddaughter, Tori.

Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, and a grandchild. She is survived by her children, Linda Anderson of Austin, Texas; Thomas Anderson of Chapin, South Carolina; Richard Anderson of Veyo, Utah; Dale Anderson of Fallbrook, California; Charlene Fererra of Sacramento, California; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a nephew, and nieces and one great-great grandchild.
