Eric Mills
Warren
Oct 4, 1959 — Sep 24, 2022
Eric Warren October 4, 1959 ~ September 24, 2022
In loving memory of a wonderful father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
It is with tremendous sadness that his family shares the news that Eric Mills Warren passed away on September 24, 2022, at 62 years of age after a sudden heart attack. He was with his loving wife, Mary, and his best friend, Cecil, when he passed.
Eric was born in San Diego, California, on October 4, 1959, to Sally and Willard Warren, and was the fourth of five children. He grew up in the coastal city Cardiff-by-the-Sea, where he enjoyed surfing, baseball, and football. He met Mary Ellen Bergman, and her two children, Warren and Stacia in 1990, and they married on January 21, 1991. Eric and Mary went on to have a third child, Elizabeth, that same year. She was followed by Clayton, their fourth and youngest in 1993 after the family settled in Fallbrook.
Eric enjoyed going to the beach and camping with his family, going on walks with his wife, playing games like Risk and Uno, and video games with his children. He was always involved in his children's lives as a coach for various sports such as basketball, softball, baseball, and soccer. Eric felt that sports were an opportunity for his children to build confidence and strength, and he was an integral part of teaching these valuable lessons. He was also a doting grandfather and enjoyed playing an active role in his grandchildren's lives.
Eric knew the value of hard work and determination. He was a carpenter and woodworker by trade and he was always working on new projects. He was employed with MCCS Camp Pendleton as a carpenter for 18 years. He loved working on the Marine base and demonstrating his patriotism for his country. Throughout his life, he maintained his love for the beach, working with his hands, and the good word of God. He dedicated time every day to scripture study and taught friends and family the truths he had learned through the gospel of Jesus Christ and his conversion to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, which he joined in 2011.
Eric was preceded in death by his parents and his older sister Leslie. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary, of 31 years, his children Warren Berger, Stacia Elmore, Elizabeth (Curtis) Lillie, Clayton (Rebecca) Warren; seven grandchildren, three siblings, Michael Warren, Alison (Alan) Horst-Yates, and Brett (Tara) Warren; loyal friends, and co-workers.
A visitation service will be held at Barry-Bell and Hall Mortuary, 333 N. Vine St., Fallbrook, on Friday, October 7th from 4-8 pm.
Church services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 621 Stage Coach Ln., Fallbrook, on Saturday, October 8th at 11 am.
