Elias Dorado Acevedo, 84, of Fallbrook, passed away peacefully at home with his family at his side on March 17, 2015. Elias was born on August 10, 1930, in Arroyo Seco de Abajo, Tepetongo, Zacatecas, Mexico,to Rumulo and Piedad Acevedo.

Elias worked as a dairy milker for over 50 years. He started in San Ysidro and then worked for the Verboom dairy in Pala for many years.


Elias was married to Francisca Rodela Garcia, and they had 12 children. His wife passed away in August of 2014. He is also predeceased by three of his children, Florine, Cristobal, and Efrain. Elias is survived by 9 children: Francisca(Panchita) Acevedo, Maria Nieves Acevedo, Elias Acevedo, Roberto Acevedo, Rodolfo Acevedo, Hector Acevedo, Gilberto Acevedo, Guillermo Acevedo, and Ana Acevedo, two sisters, three brothers, 17 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2015 from 4-8 pm at Berry-Bell and Hall Fallbrook Mortuary. A Funeral mass will be held on Friday, May 27, 2015 at 10:30 am at St. Peter The Apostle Catholic Parish in Fallbrook. Interment will take place following the mass at the Fallbrook Masonic Cemetery in Fallbrook.
