Douglas Wayne
Freeman Jr.
Jul 27, 1976 — Feb 14, 2021
He was born in Fallbrook, Ca on July 27,1976 to Douglas Freeman Sr (deceased) and Charlene Guachena, (deceased).
He attended Fallbrook High School in Fallbrook, CA. He continued his education at the University of Pennsylvania, majoring in Art.
He was a renowned artist and graphic designer with several attributes, and he was the owner of Red Nation Apparel. He designed the patch made for the Pala Veterans group and to this day, the group uses the patch for appreciation plaques, as well as placing it on Veteran's vest or jackets. The Pala Band of Mission Indian's adopted his Tribal flag design years ago, and they're currently still flying it.
In the 90's, Doug had designed a small 50'x50' skate park behind the Pala housing department, which is currently the Tribal Law Enforcement department. It was a small area, but it kept the kids entertained.
He was a devout Lakers fan and loved watching his favorite football team, the Chargers. He was an admirer of comic books and Star Wars. You would always find him at a Comic Con, selling his artwork and ready for a conversation. He never hesitated for two tacos and a chalupa from Taco Bell. He loved wrestling and attended many indie and professional shows. Doug was basically a walking ESPN channel. He was a big movie buff and loved quoting lines from his favorite movies. He loved stand-up comedians and comedy, that's because he loved to laugh. He loved laughing until he cried and cracking a joke. Doug will always be remembered for greeting everyone with a smile on his face.
He is survived by his girlfriend Jenae Bow of Pala, Sister Melissa Freeman of Pala, Niece Lariece Reyna of Escondido, Nephews Reginaldo Reyna Jr. and Mixtly Raya of Pala.
Grandfather Charles Guachena of Santa Ysabel, Aunts Deanne Garcia of Temecula, Annette Davis of Oregon, Brenda Guachena Arres and Stanya Guachena Hernandez of Rincon, Uncle Chuck Guachena Jr. of Rincon and many, many cousins.
