Dorothy Scott
February 17, 1938 – December 21, 2024

It's with heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Dorothy Scott on December 21, 2024, at her home in Fallbrook.

Dorothy was a loving wife and mother.  She was married for 67 years to her loving husband Selma.  Dorothy was born in Texas and grew up in Mississippi where she met and married Selma.  They moved to California where they raised their two daughters.

Dorothy attended college where she earned a degree in Business Education. She became a teacher and taught business classes to high school and community college students.  She had a passion for interior design and enjoyed decorating her home and helping others do the same.  Her other hobbies included ballroom dancing and gardening.  But her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Dorothy hosted large family gatherings for the holidays and other special occasions.  She started many traditions that continued through the years.  During her teaching years she spent summers entertaining her grandchildren and enjoying the many adventures they took her on.

Dorothy leaves behind two daughters, Jacquelyn James and Sandra Ingles and four grandchildren Reginald James, Ronald James, Dorothy MacFarlane and Willie James.  She also was blessed with seven great grandchildren and many other good friends and family members. Dorothy will be missed by all because of her kindness and generosity.
