Obituary

Diane Wagner Turley of Fallbrook passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Palomar Hospital in Escondido Wednesday morning, June 26, 2013. Diane was born on October 22, 1943 to Miriam and John Wagner in Roanoke, VA.
Diane spent her childhood years with her sisters between New York and Virginia then attending Mary Washington College (aka Marine Women's College according to her husband). While attending Mary Washington College she met the love of her life, and future husband of 50 years, Robert Turley. Soon after embarking on her new life as a proud Marine wife, Robert and Diane began their family of 5 children. She adored and cherished each moment watching her children grow, from being cheer mom, football and baseball team mom, to a PTA mom. Her husband and her children were the jewels of her life. Diane was also very service-oriented from being involved in the Marine Corp Officer's Wives Club, a religious education instructor, to being the manager of the Turnabout Thrift Shop on Camp Pendleton. In addition, she spent 20 years as a bridal consultant.
Diane's joys were decorating and gardening around her home, collecting rocks, relaxing at Del Mar Beach on Camp Pendleton and the mountains of Big Bear and enjoying good books. Diane absolutely was the rock and the center, the best friend, advocate, listening ear, and guide for her children. Her compassion, selflessness and love for others will be remembered the most and her values, morals and love extended beyond her family. She was always so proud and excited to watch her children and grandchildren grow, which brought her immeasurable joy.
Diane is survived by her husband Robert, sisters Debra W. Moss and Dori O. Wagner, children Laura Denny, Christine Roberts, Karen Minoux and husband Timothy, Michele Jackson and husband Christopher, and Michael R. Turley and wife Amber, grandchildren Ryan, Justin, Jacqueline, Sarah, Joshua, Jessica, Aidan, Tristan, Kamryn, Marek, Jordan, Peyton and the Turley Anthill continues to grow.
