  • In Loving Memory of Clarence A. Holloway Jr.January 15, 1936 to July 3, 2026Clarence A. Holloway Jr. of Temecula, CA. passed away peacefully on July 3, 2026. Born in Bixby, OK. Charlie or Chuck was known for his musical talent, kindness to his friends and family and sense of humor. He taught himself how to play the guitar by listening to his favorite musicians on the radio, such as: Johnny Cash, Hank Williams Sr. and Chet Atkins. He spent many hours playing guitar with his brother Pat Holloway and together they entertained his family and friends. His parents, Clarence Sr. and Lula Holloway, raised 8 children: Juanita, Jean, Charlie, Pat, Mary, Allen, Sharon and Dusty. At the age of 11, he moved with his family to Caprock, New Mexico where his father worked in the oil fields. Later Charlie joined him in this work.In 1958, Charlie joined the Army and completed basic training in Fort Carson, Colorado. He was honorably discharged in 1964 as an E-4 Specialist.On October 9th, 1957 he married Francis Laverne Farris in Roswell, New Mexico. He and Laverne were blessed with four children: Sherry, Kenneth, Jamie and Dale. In 1967 He moved his family to Fallbrook, CA. where he started working at the newly built Fallbrook Golf Course as a mechanic. He maintained and repaired all the equipment there for 37 years.After his retirement, he and Laverne moved to Temecula, CA. where Charlie continued to work as a mechanic in his spare time. He also enjoyed restoring classic tractors and drove them in the local tractor shows along with other family members. Also, Charlie was a great fan of NASCAR and never missed watching a race.He is survived by his loving family including his children: Sherry, Kenneth and Dale. Along with his siblings Juanita, Sharon, Allen, and Dusty, and 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren.He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.Services at Berry, Bell and Hall and interment at Fallbrook Masonic Cemetery.
