Christine Lynne Day was born on November 3, 1951 to Grace and Thomas Day. She grew up in the Concord, California area with her brothers, Jeff, Tim Ted and Scott and sister, Wendy. She graduated High School in 1969 from Mount Diablo High School.
She worked as a flight attendant for American Airlines until 1980 when she became a stay at home mother for her two daughters, Sarah and Amanda. Later she got her credentials to be a Certified Financial Planner and worked for Metro 1 Credit Union.
She met and married the love of her life, Delane Wanner in the early 1990's and they were married on July 6, 1996.
Christine was an accomplished quilter and developed that ability over time. She was very involved in her church, Christ The King Lutheran church of Fallbrook. She was involved in global mission with Joyce Meyer ministries. She became a crisis chaplain through the Billy Graham Association. She traveled on short term mission trips to Kosovo, El Salvador, South Africa and Panama. She was working toward earning her degree through Bethel Seminary to become a Chaplain when she was overtaken by a debilitating disease called Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease.
She succumbed to the disease on October 31, 2016. She was 64 years old. Christine is survived by husband, Delane, daughter Sarah and her husband Kevin, daughter Amanda and her husband Jake, 10 grandchildren. Also by her parents, Grace and Thomas, brothers, Jeff, Tim, Ted and Scott and sister Wendy, and many nieces and nephews, she is preceded in death by her step-father, Sonny.
