Christine was born October 4, 1946 in Palm Springs, California. Rose and Raymond C. Swanson were the proudest parents and she was the first grandchild in the Swanson Family. Christine attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Grammar School and Garces Memorial High School. She then attended Bakersfield College and graduated with her nursing degree. She always liked to take care of and help people. She later attended the University of Phoenix where she acquired her BS in nursing. In 1966, Christine left Bakersfield and moved to the San Diego area where she lived and worked for the next 40 years as a nurse. She purchased a house in Temecula and lived there 25 years. Her neighbors called her "Miss Chris". Christine retired in 2007 due to pulmonary hypertension. She had good days and bad days but never forgot how to have fun being a "groupie" for her favorite singer, Sting, who she followed with great enthusiasm all over the world. She was a devote Catholic and belonged to Blessed Theresa of Calcutta Catholic Church. She enjoyed the Sunday breakfast with the "gang". She loved the Lord and welcomed Him into her heart. Christine is survived by her sister, Georgia Francis, nephew Christopher Francis and his wife Joana, of Bakersfield California, Cousins Tom Swanson & Cindy of Montana, Scott Swanson & Michael of San Francisco, California Christine passed away on May 27, 2017 in San Diego, California. She is now at peace with our family and all the animals she loved and cared for.
