Anthony (Tony) Gasparovic- devoted husband, father, and grandfather - passed away unexpectedly at his home in Fallbrook, California, on January 1, 2016. He was 77.
Anthony was born on September 13, 1938 in Canton, Pennsylvania, to Matthew and Violet Gasparovic. He graduated from Venice High School in 1956, and served in the U.S. Army before earning an Associate Degree in Engineering from El Camino College. He worked as a welding engineer in the aerospace industry in Southern California, a career he loved.
Anthony is survived by his wife of 23 years, Brenda Gasparovic, his sons Tony (Wannee) Gasparovic and Terry (Leigh) Gasparovic, his stepchildren Vincent Engen and Tammy (Ron) Puff, and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Deanna Gasparovic. Anthony lived in Redondo Beach, California, for most of his adult life, where he enjoyed fishing, bowling, and, above all, spending time with his family and close friends. He will be most remembered for his gentle nature, his laugh, and his love for his family.
Anthony's life will be celebrated in a service at Pacific Crest Cemetery in Redondo Beach on January 8, 2016 at 11 a.m. A reception will follow at the Blue Water Grill in Redondo Beach. Family and friends are invited to attend. Memorial contributions may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
