Alicia Rocha
Aguilar
Apr 19, 1944 — Jan 23, 2021
Alicia was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and wife. She gave so much love to the world; she will be greatly missed by her family. She was such a hardworking entrepreneur that loved her work in the fashion business. She enjoyed meeting people from all over the world and from all walks of life. She did this almost daily for over thirty years.
Alicia came to this country in the 1960's and fell in love with the United States. When she first moved to the United States, she started working as a seamstress, which eventually lead her to opening a shop at the local swapmeet and later her own clothing store known as 'Alicia's Fashions' in the Southern California area. Alicia later moved her family to Las Vegas where she opened a new shop at a swapmeet there. Her Las Vegas business was an instant success and with her kind and customer driven demeanor, she gained many loyal customers and friends. She was liked by vendors and customers alike and loved her time at the swapmeet, and in fact, she spent many years selling there. Besides selling clothing, Alicia enjoyed cooking delicious and authentic homemade meals for her family. She cooked with love and her family appreciated her unique and flavorful meals. After living in Las Vegas for over twenty-five years, Alicia returned to California to spend her final days battling cancer with her daughter and granddaughters by her side. She is survived by her five children, her husband, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Though our hearts are heavy, as we know our queen is no longer physically with us, we know she is in the kingdom of God and her memory lives on deep inside of us, each and every day.
Alicia your time on this Earth was an unforgettable one for all of those who you touched and loved.
The memories of your smile, your loving caring nature, your hard-work ethic and your wisdom will live on forever in our hearts.
Your eternal beauty, kindness and laughter will never be forgotten.
Your delicious meals, advice and fun stories will be fondly remembered.
We thank you for everything that you did, small and big.
You are precious to us, special to us and we love you dearly.
We cherish you our queen, so know that every day you will be in our thoughts, and for all of us you will live on forever in the beautiful heavens with our Lord.
Love your children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren
