Agnes Marion Friestad
November 20, 1919 March 2, 2015

Agnes Marion Friestad went to be with her Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ on March 2, 2015 at the Lebanon Care Center in Lebanon, OR at the age of 95.

Agnes was born on November 20, 1919 near Maddock, North Dakota to M.C. and Anna (Sanderson) Westrum. She attended a rural school through 8th grade and graduated from BCATS in Maddock, ND. Agnes worked in the County Court House in Minnewaukan, ND until she was married.

On December 18, 1943 Agnes married Burton Friestad of Harlow, ND. They farmed for their first ten years of married life near Harlow, ND. In 1953 they moved to Hawthorne, CA with their two children, Sydney and Sheryl.

In 1965 they moved to Fallbrook. Agnes had excellent bookkeeping and secretarial skills, and enjoyed working in her husband's Real Estate business. Agnes was a charter member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Fallbrook and devoted much of her time in various church activities. She also loved crocheting, reading, writing letters and growing flowers; especially roses. When Burton died in 2009 she went to live with her daughter, Sheryl and son-in-law Fred Westerhold in Harvey, ND. While there she became a charter member of Faith Lutheran Church LCMC. In January 2014, Agnes became a resident in the St. Aloisius Long Term Care Center in Harvey, ND. Then in November 2014 she became a resident in the Lebanon Care Center in order to be closer to Fred & Sheryl who had recently moved to Lebanon, OR.
Agnes is survived by her daughter Sheryl (Fred) Westerhold, Lebanon, OR; sisters Arlene Allan, Maddock, ND and Delores Norell, Spokane, WA; 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Burton of 65 years, son Sydney Friestad, brothers-in-law Floyd Allan and Marvin Norell.
A graveside service will be held March 10, 2015, 2 p.m. at the Fallbrook Masonic Cemetery in Fallbrook, CA. There she will be laid to rest next to the love of her life, Burton Friestad. Blessed be her memory among us.
